Join us as we transform our farm into a Mother’s Day Spring Soirée & Tea with the kids! Beginning with an introduction to our greenhouse and food forest. Susan will read excerpts from “Planting A Rainbow” by Lois Ehlert and “The Vegetables We Eat” by Gail Gibbons. Children will learn the parts of a plant/flower and the importance of healthy soil! Then on to our schoolhouse butterfly garden for excerpts from “the Very Hungry Caterpillar” and “The Grouchy Ladybug” by Eric Carle with a release of butterflies & ladybugs into our garden. Children will make a special Mother’s Day card & poem. Our baker will demonstrate and provide her special recipe for tea & a surprise cake with a delicious tasting around our spring tablescape.
